I have also purchased a 3 axis driver board from Xylotex (#XS-3525/8S-3). I need the wiring diagram to connect the 2 boards. Yours uses serial port, the Xylotex uses parallel ports.
Recommendations for Stepper Motor Kits submitted 4. I am considering this kit from xylotex. Pretty good price I think, I got 4 steppers, 4 driver boards, a 5 axis Mach3 parallel breakout board, and 400W power supply for $270 (+$130 for shipping). So far everything seems to be up to snuff based on looking at other set-ups on youtube. I finally got 1/8 to work but I already integrated 1/4 stepping for the CNC driver comparison video. When matched 1:1 the Xylotex's 190 IPM loses to THB6064AH's 230 or so IPM on the same PSU with.

The way I'm interpreting it, step and direction signals would be coming from your serial port and going to their parallel port connection. The Xylotex should be supplied with the pinout signal identifications. Here is a link to the data page: Connect Home/lim, E-stop, etc to the DeskCNC controller board. I like your serial controller.
I plan to use the machine for signage and wood working for now. What software would be best in your opinion? Moderator Username: Support Post Number: 1239 Registered: 03-2004 Posted on Monday, April 10, 2006 - 05:07 pm: DeskCNC of course.;-) Fred Smith - IMService.
